About Us
Artbox is regularly approached by councils, shopping centres, festivals and office buildings to produce temporary installations for public spaces.
Objectives
We invite concept submissions for dynamic, interactive and engaging temporary installations suitable for public display in front of diverse audiences. Some might work best in a festival environment, others on a busy pedestrian street, others on a rooftop - opportunities are endless.
We welcome diverse creative concepts and strongly encourage applications from artists identifying as ATSI, LGBTIQ+, or deaf and disabled, as well as people from diverse gender, social, economic, ethnic and ideological identities.
The work can have been displayed before - we’re strong advocates of sustainable practice and exhibiting works to multiple audiences. Your submission will remain on file until a suitable opportunity presents itself. We will then contact you to check if you are interested in putting your EOI forward, with our support.
Please include in your Expression of Interest (EOI)
- 5 examples of your past work
- Sketches, renders, or concept drawing for your installation
- A succinct description of your proposed work and how you intend the audience to relate to it
- Any specific requirements (e.g. power, space, staffing, etc.)
- Your CV
