Banksia Spinulosa Cunninghamii
The origins of many of my artistic concepts arise from the natural environment and living in Nillumbik provides an abundance of native flora as inspiration. I love native flowers and the Banksia is particularly one of my favourites.
I have recently discovered that the Banksia Spinulosa var. cunninghamii is on the list of Threatened Flora within the Nillumbik Shire and the hope is that my design would draw attention to our local threatened flora and inspire interest in conservation of the more endangered species within our Green Wedge.

I am a local Nillumbik Fibre Artist working primarily in weaving fibres and a variety of Textiles, recycled and found objects to create unique woven wall hangings and sculptural pieces. I often add layers of texture and inject bold colour and natural elements to add interest and warmth to my work.
