STEP ONE: BUY YOUR PI
You will need to buy a Raspberry Pi Model B computer, case, 8GB SD card, HDMI lead, Power Supply, Micro-USB to USB cord and USB thumb drive. All of these parts can be found at www.element14.com.
STEP TWO: GET ARTBOX 0.6.3
Go to the Artbox Shop and buy the Artbox 0.6.3 Download. Use an unzip program (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) to expand the 4gb file to 8gb. Now check the file has downloaded and unzipped correctly using a md5sum check (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
STEP THREE: FLASH SD CARD
If you are using Win and Linux, then please use this tutorial (http://elinux.org/RPi_Easy_SD_Card_Setup) to flash your SD card. Here is a tutorial for installing Artbox with a Mac. Once the SD Card is flashed, drop it into your Raspberry Pi and boot it up.
NOTE: You could also buy an Artbox and it will arrive fully assembled, tested and in working order. Also note that Artbox is open source under a noncommercial license, so this software can only be used for noncommercial uses. If it is being used for commercial purposes, please contact us for a commercial license. For noncommercial use, you can make as many Artboxes as you like. Enjoy!
